The Swiss Re Foundation 2018 Entrepreneurs for Resilience Award – Putting renewables to work in low income communities is open for applications.
The 2018 award focuses on market-based approaches that tackle barriers to successful adoption of renewable energies in low-income communities. The following technologies are in scope: improved cook stoves, solar lanterns, solar home systems, decentralised grids, productive use equipment, mini wind turbines, biogas generators.

The Award will consist of a grant amounting to CHF 800 000, to be split among the winner and the two runners-up alongside with non-financial contributions such as coaching and technical advice.
